Here are your three screen options. The first two are provided by the artist at no additional fee. The third option must be rented or supplied by you. 1) Apple 21″ monitor on a stand. 2) Custom projector and screen. 3)Large plasma or LCD display.
Unlike many caricature and “quick sketch” artists, Doug’s chief concern is that his subject is happy with the process as well as the results. He doesn’t insist his subjects pose by holding still; he wants them to relax and have fun. When we’re relaxed, we look our best, and Doug delivers the best in us. “Funny, yet flattering,” is Doug’s motto, and maybe that’s why they line up.
Big Al and I do this event every year. They really go all out, with roving fairy tale characters, face painters, a magician, a Dixieland jazz quartet, and most important, great food.
