Big Al, a East Bay caricature artist, invited me to join him drawing caricatures of high rollers at Harrah’s Reno on New Years Eve. Another caricaturist, Rhoda Draws was kind enough to shoot this photo of me at work.

Atlassian, a south of market firm hosted a few hundred guests for an event and hired Zach Trenholm and I to draw caricatures. Having two artists with distinct styles was great entertainment. Dry Creek Vineyards invited me to draw caricatures for their wine club event. The theme was French, and the winery provided authentic live music, food, and games, in addition to the artist. This was about the hottest day of the year so far, but I had a little shade to work with. As you can see by these smiling subjects, the total effect was magnifique!

Google had a contest for kids and teens to do their logo art, you know, the one that changes every day. I drew the kids but also a bunch of Googlers. A lot of fun things to do there including face painting by my pal Jodi Carr, who you can see in the background. My personal fave entry is pictured here, although it didn’t win it was brilliant!

150 or so Microsofties (is that the correct term?) invaded the Cartoon Art Museum and I drew digital caricatures on my tablet. We had it set up to deliver to the printer and cell phone simultaneously but turned out I couldn’t get reception. The softcopies are still available for download on the web however.

150 or so bankers from the Great Lake region cruising the bay. There were three of us caricaturists aboard and more than a few couples walked out with second or even third opinions. This was the last couple on the boat—hope they didn’t miss the bus!
