The French Laundry throws an annual party for all its foodie friends and they invited me to draw caricatures. Here are two shy lovelies. I also drew their parents too, and they were pretty good looking themselves,

Etude winery threw a swell party for friends and employees under a big tent on a balmy night. This caricature is a little unusual—I don’t often draw gross distortions but this congenial fellow made the mistake of playfully warning me not to make his nose too big. Great fun for everyone!

Charles Krug is just about my favorite venue (mostly due to Patty Grantham who runs the events) and I spent a few hours drawing caricatures of guests at their “Tastings on the Lawn” event. This was the last couple of the day and their picture tells cute story.

Matanzas Creek Winery has a lilac festival every year where lucky wine lovers feast on great food, wine and the sight of an endless field of lilac. I worked with Marc Schmid on this job, who is the only caricaturist I know who talks more than me. Next time I’ll bring earplugs!
